Happy New Year House Tour! FIGURE 8 REVEAL

I have been working on a fabulous new construction home at Figure Eight Island built for a family out of Raleigh by Northstate Custom Builders. HPID selected everything from flooring, lighting to furniture and accessories. I presented the plan to the client and they approved it in 30 minutes. The client let me complete the install before they saw it for the first time. I love that kind of reveal! He literally showed up with a spend the night bag to see it for the first time. Turn Key = lucky client. I have to admit, I was a little nervous, but the end result is stunning and the client loves their new vacation home.

Take a look....

They wanted the indoors to flow with the outdoors. The view is magnificent and spans the marsh and Intracoastal. I chose grays, blues and mixed in pale greens.

They wanted an "island" look but didn't want to go "Tommy Bahama".... (I didn't either) so we put a major modern spin on "island/no Tommy Bahama". I chose a dining table with two leaves to extend to 120" to seat 8.

Head into the kitchen and notice the wavy glass splash, oversized lanterns and the most luxurious countertops I have ever placed. The are semi-precious Laboridite. When the light hits it, the top practically glows.

Head on downstairs to the guest level....

The kids/guest den is on the lower floor with the guest rooms and one additional master bedroom. It has a little bit of coastal edge...

The entry lays the groundwork for the vibe of the house. Fun art, pops of color and little bit of a modern bent...literally.

The walnut floors throughout make a bold statement and are a stark contrast to the light bright white and gray walls/ceilings.

I sure would like to spend the day here - when it warms up, of course. Stay tuned for the rest of the house.... Happy New Year and Cheers to a fabulous 2017 here on the coast!
